Meet Maisie
Hi, and welcome — I’m so glad you’re here!
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa.
How I work
My approach is integrative and flexible, guided by what feels most supportive for you in our work together. In sessions, I bring warmth, presence, and authenticity, along with curiosity, transparency, and gentle humour when it feels helpful. Our work often includes reflection and psychoeducation to support deeper understanding. We make space for both insight and action—exploring the “why” behind your experiences while also building practical ways to support meaningful change.
Human First, Therapist Second
Outside of the therapy room, you will often find me out for a walk with my rescue dog, Luna! I also enjoy reading, staying active through running or going to the gym, and exploring some of the best restaurants around the city.
ELEVATED ALTERNATIVE
How I Hold Space
I believe you don’t need to arrive in therapy with everything figured out or feel fully ready to begin. It’s okay to come in feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or unsure of what you need. You are welcome exactly as you are.
In our work together, I focus on slowing things down, creating space to really notice what’s been going on rather than moving past it or trying to make sense of it too quickly. I stay with your experience as it is, and we begin exploring it together with care and curiosity.
I see therapy as a shared process.
There is room for conversation, reflection, and curiosity about what you’ve been carrying and how it has shaped you over time. We stay present with it, rather than moving away from it or minimizing it.
I believe healing happens in connection: in the relationship we build in therapy and in how you begin to reconnect with yourself over time. Therapy can become a place where you gently come back to yourself, begin to understand your patterns in a more meaningful way, and feel more grounded in who you are.
You don’t have to hold it all on your own.
Guiding Values
Human Connection and Safety
I am committed to creating a therapeutic space where you feel truly seen, heard, supported, and safe. Building a genuine therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, grounded in trust, collaboration, and care. I show up as a human first, bringing authenticity into the space we share.
Compassion and Respect for Your Story
I honour you as the expert in your own life. Your experiences and emotions matter, and I meet them with care, respect, and openness. There is space here for all parts of you to be acknowledged and understood.
Curiosity and Pacing
I move at a pace that feels right for you. With curiosity, I explore your experiences alongside you, making room for reflection and for what feels manageable in each moment.
